PMC issued to be resolved amicably

Our Correspondent

Rana Sanaullah: The migration of 13 Qadiani students of PMC (Punjab Medical College) will not be allowed until an inquiry into this issue is completed. This was decided in a meeting of a special committee held the other day with Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan in the chair. Faisalabad DCO Major (r) Azam Suleman Khan, DIG Operation Muhammad Aslam Khan Tareen, PMC Principal Dr Asghar Ali Randhawa and clerics belonging to various religious organisations also attended the meeting. The minister said that Islam gives equal rights to minorities in addition to the promotion of peace and brotherhood. Hence, religious leaders should play their role in solving the PMC issue in a peaceful manner. He said that the Punjab health secretary would be asked to stop implementation on the recommendations of inquiry committee till the finalization of the inquiry.

If any student was found involved in blasphemy, he will be migrated while action will also be taken against him under the blasphemy law. The meeting also reviewed the inquiry report and expressed satisfaction on the performance of inquiry committee headed by the DIG (Operations).
