Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini, MP, Chairman of a faction of Islami Oikya Jote, yesterday warned that the Qadinia could be one of the main issues in the next general elections for going to power.
Addressing an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Islamic Law Implement Committee, Mufti Amini, also the Ameer of the organisation, said the demand to declare qadianis non-Muslim is the unanimous demand of the ulema of Bangladesh.
“No one could escape people’s wrath for favouring the Qadianis,” he added.
The IOJ Chairman, who was presiding over the meeting, also warned that it would be boomerang for the government if it tried to avoid the qadiani issue to cling to power.
A seven-member committee, headed by Maulana Ishaque Faridi, has been formed to organise a the two-day Islamic Conference in Dhaka from April 27 in Dhaka.
Among those present at the meeting were Maulana Noor Hossain Kashemi, Maulana Abdul Latif Nizami, Mufti Mohammad Wakkas, MP, Maulana Sharfuddin Ahmed Zonayed and Mufti Mohammad Taiyab.
