Govt to issue joint decree on Ahmadiyah

The government is keeping to its decision to issue a joint ministerial decree from the state secretary, religious minister and the attorney general aimed at putting an end to Ahmadiyah’s activities in Indonesia.

“The state secretary, minister of religious affairs and the attorney general have already made the necessary preparations for the issuance of the decree. It is only a matter of time,” Political, Legal and Security Affairs Coordinating Minister Widodo Adi Sutjipto said Monday evening.

Widodo declined to specify when exactly the decree would be issued. (*)
